Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share some information with advertising partners for targeted advertising, as described below. Some state laws, including California’s, call this “sharing” (and in some states, a “sale”). You can opt out as described in “Your choices.”
Service providers who help us run our business, under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us. These include:
- Kajabi, which hosts the Course Site, accounts, checkout, and course delivery
- Payment processors, which process card and other payments made at checkout (such as Apple Pay, Klarna, and Afterpay, depending on the payment method you choose)
- ActiveCampaign, which we use to send email
- Website hosting and infrastructure providers, such as DigitalOcean and Cloudflare
- Scheduling and video meeting tools used to book and hold coaching sessions
- Google Analytics, which helps us understand how our sites are used
Advertising partners. We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our sites. When you visit, these tools collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages you view, and actions you take, and send it to Meta and LinkedIn. We use this to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our sites. Meta and LinkedIn may also combine this information with what they already know about you, under their own privacy policies.
Licensed Scale Architects. If your purchase includes a coaching session with a Licensed Scale Architect, we share the information needed to schedule and deliver that session, such as your name, email address, and the course or level you purchased.
Legal and safety reasons. We may share information if required by law, to respond to legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
Business transfers. If Scale Architects is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and advertising
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that work alongside them. We and our service providers use:
- Essential cookies to log you in, keep your session secure, and process checkout. The Course Site won’t work properly without them.
- Preference cookies to remember your settings.
- Analytics cookies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our sites.
- Advertising cookies and pixels, including the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure our ad campaigns and show our ads to people who have visited our sites, on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you may not be able to log in or check out.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you have an account or access to a course, and as long as needed to provide the Services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.
If a course is retired, we may keep your purchase records as required for accounting and tax purposes.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established providers for payments and hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
